PD-Phi29: next generation Phi29 DNA polymerase
We have engineered multiple phi29 DNA polymerase variants with novel properties that significantly improve the efficiency and versatility of DNA amplification techniques. Identified through Pando’s technology, these mutations offer several advantages over wild-type Phi29 polymerase, including:

Increased activity and thermostability
PD-Phi29 is active up to 42°C and creates more DNA faster than the market leader
Figure 1. 100pg of cow genomic DNA was amplified using PD-phi29. The results were compared to the current market best and quantified using a dsDNA dye.

High processivity
PD-Phi29 has similar processivity to the market leader
Figure 2. Both enzymes were used to amplify 1pg of genomic DNA and measured on the Agilent TapeStation. The ladder is shown on the bottom, with two ladder-peaks marked on the x-axis.

Higher success rate in full-plasmid sequencing
PD-Phi29 has the same error rate as the market leader for WGA (nanopore)

Figure 3.1ng of DNA was amplified using PD-phi29 or the market leader, and the resulting MDA product was sequenced using Oxford Nanopore. Error rates were measured per-sequenced bp from high-quality reads.
Commercial-ready PD-Phi29
Next-generation PD-Phi29 engineered by Pando, scaled with leading global manufacturers
